Requirements

Supported systems, CPU, memory and disk requirements for the cdnca control plane and nodes, and the ports to open.

Community edition needs no activation. For a commercial licence, the control plane public IP must match the licensed IP. Open Downloads

Both the control plane and nodes are x86_64 only and need a fresh system. The installer runs a preflight first: “fail” must be fixed, “warn” can be confirmed (or pass -y).

Hardware

  • Control plane: at least 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended); 10 GB disk minimum (40 GB+, ideally 100 GB SSD); CPU with SSE4.2. 2 cores and 8 GB are recommended.
  • Node: at least 1 GB RAM with 2 GB swap (2 GB RAM recommended); 2 GB disk minimum, more if you cache a lot.

Network and ports

ServerOpen to the internetNotes
Control planeTCP 443 (or the HTTPS port you chose), TCP 80Console; 80 is used to issue the HTTPS certificate
Control planeTwo gateway ports (node enrollment, node channel)Printed at the end of the install, chosen at random in 20000–29999 by default
NodeTCP 80, 443 and any other ports your sites useServes visitors
  • The control plane must reach the licensing service (auth.cdnca.com) and the package download source; nodes must reach the control plane and its gateway ports.
  • Nodes also use 18080 (health check) and 18443 (certificate service) locally. They need not be open to the internet but must be free.
  • Check your cloud provider's security group as well. Do not turn the firewall off.

Before installing

  • Use a clean system without web servers, databases or similar pre-installed.
  • The control plane's public IP must match the licensed IP.
  • To use a domain for the console, point it at the control-plane server first.

Next: install the control plane.
